As general
contractors, we participate in the industry standard
"bid process". Many still believe this process to be the
most effective way to guarantee the best price for their
project and in some cases, they are correct. Gaier
Construction has adapted with the changing environment
and offers other options for consideration.
The two
other options are the cost plus method and the cost plus
basis with a guarantee maximum price that is inclusive
of a construction fee as a fixed dollar figure that
doesn't fluctuate unless the scope of the project
changes. These final two options lend themselves to the
negotiated contract. The negotiated contract allows a
more "team approach" to you particular building project
and helps to ensure that the project is built to the
best standard possible with the maximum use of the
customers dollars. |
